Parkrun - The Shiraz Trail
In-person 30 Aug, 7:30 AM - 15 May, 9:00 AM (ACST)
RACGP SA will be in McLaren Vale for the Education Weekend between the 30-31 of August. In support of the parkrun practice initiative, the RACGP SA team will join The Shiraz Trail parkrun before settling into a day of learning. All GPs on the Fleureau Peninsula are most welcome to come and join us to say hello and show support for this community health initiative.
What is parkrun?
Parkrun is a global, non-profit community organisation that organises free, weekly 5km events every Saturday morning in parklands. Participants of all ages can walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate; there is no time limit to complete the course. By signing up for a parkrun profile, regular participants will receive a unique barcode so they can track their progress, with milestone acknowledgements to celebrate exercise achievements.
The RACGP has partnered with parkrun Australia to promote the health and wellbeing of staff and patients. Under this initiative, GP practices across Australia are encouraged to develop close links with their local parkrun practices.
